THE seventh annual Lydbrook flower festival was inspired by the theme of dance.
With 26 displays at the Church of the Holy Jesus, this was the biggest festival to date.
The displays were created by individuals, groups and organisations including Lydbrook School, the British Legion, the Orchard Trust and the Shop on the Cross.
Among the visitors to the three-day show were Clare and Will Morley of Lydbrook, who have been regulars to the festival for the last few years.
Mrs Morley said: “People put a lot of effort in and it’s fantastic. We love it.”
During the festival there were organ recitals by Bob Aston and performances by Jean Smith and her recorder group Bella Musica. Other music for the event was prepared by Chris Williams.
Sue Williams, who is part of the organising team, said: “We’ve had wonderful ideas and more displays, so it’s our biggest.”
