THE Watts Group has premises at Church Road, Lydney and on some forms of correspondence the address is known as “The Lighthouse Works”.

We have tried to establish why the site – where the old tinplate works used to be – is called this.

Can someone help us to solve the mystery?  If anyone has any background we would be pleased to hear from them.
