Local businesses have played their part in kitting out Lydney's youngest soccer team, the under 10s.

The team plays in the County Youth League. They were formed earlier this year and as interest has increased the squad has grown large enough for two teams. But more players are needed and youngsters who would like to join can get more information from manager Chris Hardy on Dean 516369.

Mr Hardy said the team had made a made a successful start in the league while the 'B' team enjoyed a full programme of friendlies.
