DENE Magna School has announced it intends to convert to an acadamy this week (September 1) in time for the start of the new school term.

In a statement, the school said: "The undertaking of the school will therefore transfer to a company limited by guarantee registered in the name of Dene Magna School."

It is understood that Wyedean School, Sedbury, is looking to follow the same course.
