ONCE again a magnificent performance by Cinderford RFC away to Stourbridge (31-37 in favour of the away team). But on the evidence of the match against Scotland England are still hopeless at rugby. They had enough possession in the first half to win ten matches, but contrived to put themselves in danger of defeat in the second. They are crippled by a lack of intelligence and belief. It is time for them to get an English anthem, and a decent system of organising rugby for the benefit of English players in England. – Gerald Morgan, Lydbrook School; English Parliamentary Party.
