A MAIN road through the Forest was blocked this morning by a fallen tree as Storm Eleanor brought 45mph gusts to the region.

The A4136 between Edge End and Five Acres was completely blocked around 7am and diversions were put in place before it was cleared by 11am.

Access to Gloucestershire College, the secondary school and leisure centre stayed open from the Coleford direction.

Yorkley Wood Road was also reported blocked by two fallen trees.

The winds are expected to stay strong until this evening.
