A 20-YEAR-OLD man has appeared in court charged in connection with an attempted knifepoint robbery at a village stores.
Patrick Drake from Chepstow was remanded in custody by Newport Magistrates’ Court.
He is accused of attempted robbery and possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.
The alleged incident happened in the Spar shop in Main Road, Portskewett, at around 8.45pm on Thursday, December 19.
He was remanded into custody by magistrates on Friday, December 20, until his next appearance in the new year.
