POLICE are hunting a smartly dressed man after fake Irish £50 notes were used to obtain goods in Monmouth.

The CCTV image dated Wednesday, February 21 at 11.22am shows a short-haired young man with sideburns at the bar of a pub, sporting a dark jacket and a green and black patterned tie.

Officers, who also say there were incidents in Abergavenny, are asking the public and local businesses to remain vigilant to prevent any further loss.
