A MAN needed hospital treatment after being set on by a group of attackers in a town centre.
West Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault in Ross-on-Wye shortly after midnight on Sunday, November 24.
The victim told police that he thought he was attacked by three or four men at about 12.30am between the Gwalia store and the Aldi store at Brookend.
Inspector James Ashton said: “At approximately 12.50am on Sunday, November 24, police were called to reports of a disorder on Brookend Street.
“A man had been assaulted and was taken to Hereford County Hospital for medical treatment.
“As our community would expect, an investigation is underway and we’d urge anyone that was in the area at the time, and hasn’t yet spoken to us to get in touch,” he added.
