POLICE are appealing for information about an alleged assault that took place in the early hours of Sunday, November 6 in Edge Hills Road, Cinderford.

The 50-year-old victim sustained facial injuries after being pushed to the floor by a man thought to be in his early 20s.

The assault took place after an argument between the victim and four or five men at around 2am.

The man was punched in the face and sustained a cut lip, chipped tooth and a grazed nose as a result.

The assailant is described as a white man in his early 20s, of skinny build and with scruffy, brown hair.
