CERAMIC artist Mary Rose Young has made a new gallery space at her home in Parkend, as part of her annual Christmas exhibition.

The doors to Arthur's Folly will remain open until Tuesday December 23 where people can wander between the two galleries. The new gallery features her collection of framed art work and has been decorated in a vivid red colour.

She said: "The idea came from seeing the film Mr Turner (about the artist JMW Turner) where there was a scene at the Royal Academy with the same red background to paintings, and I thought it looked just great."
