A DYSLEXIC Ruardean author has finished writing and published her late nan’s book that she started 50 years ago.
Sabrina Drew decided to finish writing The White Giant: from the Writings of Mavis Bull which is about a dog that goes missing and embarks on a big adventure.
She said: “My nan (Mavis Bull) started the book 50 years ago but sadly she passed away last Christmas Eve and so never finished it. I decided to do it and get it published. She would be over the moon.
“This was her first and last book. As someone who suffers from dyslexia it was very hard to pick up the plot and write a suitable ending. I didn’t have a plan when it came to writing it. Once I got into it everything started to come together.
“For every book sold £2 will go towards supporting the Dogs Trust and Cancer Research.”
Copies of the book can be purchased on Amazon or by calling Sabrina on 01594 542792.
