HUNTLEY'S red hot goal scorer Mark Matthews rounded off of a great season by stroking home two more goals as his club's six-a-side team battled their way to success in their own end of season holiday tournament.

Matthews hit a penalty and scored again as Huntley saw off Brockworth Albion in the final of the day-long competition.

The sixes tournament was held for the second year and now looks like becoming a Forest fixture.

"It's certainly gaining in popularity as a friendly way to bring the season to a close," said Ian Dorothy.

This year's tournament attracted 30 teams from the Forest and Gloucester. Each side played a minimum of seven games in pools before the quarter finals.

Huntley, who play their league football in Division One of the Northern Senior League, lifted the trophy and a £100 prize.

But the day as a whole was a huge success.

"It was well attended and raised about £1,300 for club funds," said Ian.
