A NEW version of Snow White will be performed in Chepstow this weekend.

The fun-packed story has been written by ChAOS Music and Drama member Jon Stow – who also appears as the dame, Nanny Know it All.

It is the latest in a number of productions written by Jon for the society which will perform at the Drill Hall in Lower Church Street, Chepstow.

The production features familiar characters with slight twists on the usual names such as Prince Dashing and the dwarfs Boss, Hangry, Bouncer, Lie-In, Genius, Fever and Timid.

There is a cast of 35, supported by a large technical crew and rehearsals have been taking place since September.

Marianne Bowen is the title character, Carl Fielding is Prince Dashing, Mo Fielding plays the Evil Queen, Natasha Richards is the Magic Mirror and the story is narrated by Keith Weight.

The director is Natasha Richards, the musical director is Mo Fielding and the show is choreographed by Maxine Stow.

The performances are at 7.30pm on Friday and Saturday (January 12 and 13) and at 2.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets are available from Chepstow Museum in Bridge Street, Hannah’s Music in Welsh Street and Whirlikidz in School Hill.
