DO the management of Stagecoach ever travel on the Forest buses?

If not, they are missing an experience. They could enjoy the afternoon trip from Gloucester with schoolchildren carrying heavy shoulder bags, travelling on an ancient single-decker with seats and gangways designed for size 10 ladies.

They could be among the seven standing passengers (pushchairs need to travel on the roofrack). I suppose the one consolation is that the bus did not break down!

Stagecoach could make a fortune carrying all the extra passengers when the hundreds of houses are built in the Forest of Dean area and all the commuters, the shoppers and those seeking education leave their cars at home to avoid congestion.

– Hopeful, Coalway.
