A DEVOTED pet owner is offering a reward to anybody who can find her two Labradors.

Melanie Lindsell, from St Briavels, says she has been going "out of her mind" with worry after her two black Labrador retrievers went missing from her home on March 30.

She said: "Being young labradors, they are highly inquisitive and have a huge sense of adventure. It seems they managed to jump a fence which we'd assumed was high enough to contain them in the garden.

"They were last seen that same afternoon, I believe around 4pm, on farmland not far away in the Stowe/St Briavels area.

"Losing them has left us feeling overwhelmed with worry. We hope that 'Arthur' aged two, is with our other male black lab, 'Furlong', aged eight months. The pup, 'Furlong' follows Arthur absolutely everywhere – if he goes into another room in the house, he must follow. Furlong still hasn't started lifting his leg, but squats like a puppy/girl.

"They were wearing green collars with Kennell Club tags and are micro-chipped. Furlong was whelped in Monmouth last July and Arthur in Yorkshire in March 2012. We absolutely adore them. Being labs, they are wanderers and of course we have thought about sheep and it being lambing season and all sorts of awful things have crossed our mind, but have been assured by many local farmers that they haven't shot them.

"If anyone has any information please get in touch. There is a reward on their return."
