I WRITE to support what Jeremy Charlton-Wright had published in the Review.

He highlighted how the details of the expenses in connection with the Northern Quarter are, using his word, a shambles.

I wrote a few months back how the planning decision for this project was illegal because a planning committee decided on this project when by law the full council should have made the decision.

The monitoring officer who has a statutory duty to ensure the council complies with the law will not do her duty which is itself unlawful.

The law for determining planning decisions is a good law because it stops a small group on a council from being approached with a bribe.

You would have a job to bribe 46 councillors.

They certainly know of the illegal activities because I told them so in an email.

This is why my emails are blocked on the council’s computer and why they tried to shut me up serving harassment notices on me.

There is no doubt that there are some good councillors on the council but they lack the moral courage to get this matter sorted.

If they did this then the shambles Jeremy points out will be corrected.

In the meantime cuts to services are being made all round.

I’ve done all I can do because even the police will not help “because we do not think it appropriate to prosecute.”

You may wonder why? I’ll tell you why. The police in their puff sheets say they are proud to be partners with the councils and social services. The law requires them to be independent.

Are you Foresters going to remain silent? It’s your money they are wasting and at the same time cutting services.
