I was interested to see the fuss made by the residents in Bream who received tickets for parking illegally outside their homes.

I must side with the police over this issue and wish they would pay the same attention to other towns and villages in the Forest of Dean.

While I appreciate parking is often a problem, especially for those families owning more than one vehicle, the priority must surely be road safety. There will be few motorists unaware of the problems which exist in their own localities and the police would be doing many people a favour if they slapped tickets on motorists who park in dangerous positions, especially on blind corners.

I would suggest they could start in my own village of Blakeney. For obvious reasons I would ask you not to publish my name and address. – Name and address supplied.
