MONTHLY meetings with the Forest's University of the Third Age (U3A) have relocated to Lydney Town Hall.

The long standing organisation encourages the sharing and exchange of skills, knowledge and interests among members who have retired from working life but are still active.

At present there are 180 members at the Forest of Dean branch however new members are always welcome to join.

Their next meeting is on Thursday, February 20 at 1.45pm where there will be a chance to speak to group conveners, followed by a talk entitled A Fair Cop.

Current chairperson, Enid Peregreen said: "In this new location we have room to expand our membership, and we would be delighted to welcome anyone who would like to find out what the U3A – and in particular the Forest of Dean branch – encompasses. It is both social and educational, giving retirees a chance to learn new things, get out and about, and receive support from like-minded people."
