FOREST MP Mark Harper has welcomed the recent announcement by First Great Western to increase the

capacity of services from Gloucestershire to London.

First Great Western has announced that they are putting 46 additional carriages into service for London and Thames Valley.

These changes will benefit those from the Forest of Dean who use the service to travel to London with an extra 250 seats across morning and peak hours services from Gloucester and Cheltenham.

Mr Harper said: "This is a significant step forward in improving the quality of service on our railways for local commuters. As a regular user of the service myself, I welcome the increase in capacity recently announced by First Great Western".

The changes will be seen from spring.
