PUT a name on this portly porker and you could earn yourself a prize.

The Forest Showcase organisers are looking for a name for their mascot and logo, a Gloucester Old Spot. You can meet the animal in person at the Spring Food Showcase event this weekend (May 29 and 30) at Harts Barn Craft Centre, Longhope.

The Old Spot's traditionally an orchard pig pastured in orchards where they could eat windfalls. Folklore has it that the large black spots were bruises caused by the apples falling on them as they foraged for fallen fruit.
