LOCAL dancer Elisha Burke will step out on stage in a production by the National Youth Ballet.

The 15-year-old from Chepstow who trains with the All Steps Dance Academy in Lydney, won a part in Strauss's Doll's House Fantasia.

The auditions took place at the English National Ballet in Chelsea and she won her place against stiff competition.

The Wyedean School pupil has been attending a summer school at the Tring Park School for the Performing Arts in Hertfordshire prior to curtain up in Sevenoaks, Kent tomorrow (Thursday).

Mum Teresa said: "Many of the dancers are already attending full time dance or performing art schools so Elisha did very well to get accepted as a member of the 2014 main cast.
