YORKLEY residents are celebrating the first anniversary of its community centre this weekend (April 16 and 17).

To celebrate residents are turning the centre into a gallery and cinema. 

 There will be an exhibition celebrating the

creative work of Yorkley, Oldcroft, Viney Hill

and Pillowell’s  artists, sculptors, photographers, craftspeople, potters, poets and film makers.

Craft demonstrations are taking place and everyone will be invited to help paint a grand mural. At 2pm on Saturday Pillowell Training Band provide entertainment and at 7pm there’s an evening of poetry, film and music.
