The new offices of the Forest of Dean Citizens' Advice Bureau will be officially opened by local MP Mark Harper this week.
The bureau has moved to the Forest Road Unemployed Centre from Cinderford Town Council's offices to save money.
CAB manager Lynn Teague said: "The reason for the move is purely financial as we are able to rent these premises at a substantial cost saving.
"We are sad to leave Cinderford Town Council after 18 years and are grateful for the wonderful relationship we have always had with them."
She said the bureau's funding had been reduced substantially over the last year and the move "will help us concentrate our precious resources on our face-to-face services."
Ms Teague added: "All this comes at a time when our services are required more than ever - last year we saw in excess of 3,000 clients on a wide variety of issues."
Around 70 per cent of the CAB's inquiries are related to debt or welfare, she said.
Mr Harper will open the premises in Forest Road, Cinderford on Friday.
