A WIDE range of over 100 skilled jobs are coming to Chepstow as Mabey Bridge launches its recruitment drive for a wind turbine plant due to come on-line early next year.
According to Alex Smale, speaking for Mabey Bridge, the plant at Newhouse Industrial Estate will begin work in about November, with the first new wind towers due to be delivered from the plant in around April. Eventually around 240 jobs will be required, but they are skilled, with a requirement for welders and shot/grit blast operatives.
The drive is part of long term plan to recruit over 240 jobs for the company in the wind turbine sector, with further jobs possibly coming available as the company moves out of central Chepstow.
