WHY do people write non-controversial letters to the paper and not give a name?

I refer to letters such as ‘Bored Reader’, Parkend, in last week’s edition and ‘Grateful Pensioners’ the previous week. What have they got to hide?

At least Gordon Blake gets a reply to his letters from Cllr Preest.  

I didn’t get the courtesy of replies to my emails, telephone messages or my letter to the paper from any of the ‘gagged’ Lydney town councillors – under its present dictatorship constitutional rules (district Councillor James Bevan’s words, not mine).
