I RESPOND to last week’s letter by Mrs Pearman regarding the situation at Lydney Lake.
In the Lydney Recreation Trust minutes dated March 29 2016, available for all to inspect on the website, it was proposed by Trustee Harris, seconded by Trustee (Mr) Pearman, that the trust would remove the existing scalps and instead sow a wildflower seed mix along with the installation of two disabled bays – action by the trust secretary.
It is, therefore, not surprising, that Mrs Pearman, whose husband seconded the proposition, is in wholehearted agreement with the views of the letter by Jinny Goulding the previous week.
In her support, Mrs Pearman is agreeing to the obstruction of residents’ entrances without prior notice or discussion, the demolition of a very convenient car park for all to use, the destruction of a natural habitat including nesting birds and the creation of a ‘blot on the landscape’ at Lydney Lake.
These are not sniping views, as suggested, just straightforward, evidential facts. Yes, Mrs Pearman, like yourself, I too would love to meet up with Jinny, as would others I have talked to, but how can this be arranged? – Gordon Blake, Lydney.
