CERI-Ann Delaney's litter pick at a Forest pond just grew and grew.
One bag led to two, and two to four and Ceri-Ann and brother Ricky eventually ended with 20 carrier bags bulging with rubbish all recovered from Jugs Hole at Broadwell, near Coleford.
"It all started when I got my foot tangled up in fishing line. I collected it up and started picking up other rubbish," Ceri-Ann, aged 12, told the Review.
"I felt sorry for the ducks and fish who could easily get caught up in the rubbish. Once I started we just found more and more," she said.
The pond is close to her grandmother's home at Broadwell where Ceri-Ann and Ricky are regular visitors, though they live at Whitecroft.
The brother and sister litter pick swallowed up most of the Easter holidays but Ceri-Ann fears the job could be never-ending.
"There are no litter bins there so no sooner had we cleared up one lot there was more to clean up the next day," she said.
