The open door immigration policy of the last Labour government allowed thousands of Eastern Europeans to come to Britain. As a result, the wages of ordinary British workers have been kept down and many laid off. In consequence, job opportunities have been reduced and many working class youngsters left on the scrap heap.
To prevent an outcry, the three main political parties operated a highly effective censorship of any reasonable discussion of the subject.
I myself was branded a racist when I tried to raise the subject with one of the candidates at the last General Election.
The political establishment need to realise that most migrants take unskilled or low paid work and thus, make it hard for our own people to get a first foot on the job ladder.
With nearly 30 million Romanian and Bulgarians having free access to Britain in 2014, one can only fear for the future of the British working man.
Astonishingly, the Government is unable or unwilling to produce projected figures for the numbers likely to come here.
However, unless sensible immigration controls are brought in our youngsters will be condemned to a life on benefits with the rest of us picking up the bill.
Unfortunately, unless Britain leaves the EU nothing can be done to stop this becoming a reality.
Harper, Cameron and co don't care though. It is not their jobs that are under threat. Although, after the Eastleigh by election this may not be the case.
