POLICE are investigating the death of a 68-year-old Drybrook man in a car crash near the Pedalabikeaway cycling centre in Cannop this morning (Tuesday, October 31).

The B4234 New Road was still closed this afternoon following the fatal collision involving two cars around 10.10am.

The driver of a car heading away from Lydbrook died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

A man and a woman in the other vehicle were taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with non-serious injuries.

Enquiries were continuing at the scene, and anyone who witnessed the incident but hasn’t spoken to police yet should call 101 and quote incident 102 of 31 October.
