CAN someone please explain, simply, why wild boar changed from being dangerous animals?

They are now allowed to roam freely in villages, towns and countryside.

When they were kept by private concerns, there were annual checks on fencing etc by vets to ensure they were no threat to people.

There were large penalties by any breach.

Now there are innumerable cases of vulnerable people being confronted by these large animals – a 92-year-old lady being unable to approach her gate, a pensioner finding a boar in her garage and unable to put her car in the garage or approach her house, a boar shot in the street in Coleford.

My front grass has been dug over seven times in a month.

You only have to travel around the Forest to see their trail of devastation everywhere.

An attraction? Some misguided people actually feed them.

Most of those who love them live away from the Forest.

Boar have no natural predators and multiply beyond reason.

We used to be able to walk around the Forest. Now?

The Forestry Commission has allowed these animals to wander freely. Were they not the original keepers?

What must happen to address the situation
