The Forest Showcase would like to express sincere thanks to our local producers who exhibited and the local people who came out to support them.

It isn't easy staging an event without funding and without passing on the additional costs to traders and public. We didn't do this but this was only possible with the support of the Speech House Hotel and County Marquees. The support shown this weekend has ensured our costs have been met and we can start planning for next year.

Speech House proved to be a beautiful setting and we would like to thank Peter, Gill and all the staff at Speech House for the excellent service and support we received. The local Sea Cadets did a magnificent job for us in unusually hot weather conditions. To save on cost our family and friends are roped in as volunteer staff for the day for which we are very grateful and thank them very much. We certainly would not like to thank those who stole our numerous signs through the Forest leaving many visitors slightly lost.

We are so proud of the exceptional quality and interesting variety of local produce and truly believe this makes our Forest Showcase unique and very special. We enjoy organising the event and judging by the feedback we have received after this weekend, both visitors and exhibitors enjoy it too.
