THE Review is correct to point out to our M.P. that salaries in the area are no where near the average he quoted in his support for the benefit cap.

What I find most puzzling is that if the Review can see it, I can see it, and most of the people who live and work in the area can see it, why can't Mark Harper.

It does not take a lawyer to work out that average pay is affected by salaries earned by people who travel outside the area to Bristol, Gloucester, Newport and Cardiff, as I do.

Mr Harper's benefit cap would mean a substantial pay rise to most people who work in the Forest of Dean area. Perhaps Nadine Dorries MP is right, these posh boys really are out of touch with ordinary folk.
