A PENSIONER was taken to hospital with serious injuries after colliding on his bike with a tractor near Ross-on-Wye.

The 70-year-old man reportedly suffered a fractured pelvis, broken ribs and internal bleeding in the evening rush hour incident on the on the A49 in Peterstow on Friday, July 20, and was being treated at Southmead Hospital in Bristol.

West Mercia Police have appealed for witnesses to the 5.10pm crash on the northbound carriageaway.

“Officers are asking for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have dash cam footage to get in touch with them to help with enquiries,” said a force spokesperson.
