PARENTS and a football coach rushed from a kids’ game to help an elderly biker after a high street crash.

The stricken rider, who is thought to be in his early 70s, was taken to hospital follwing a collision between his bike and a car outside Cinderford’s Apple Green fuel station on Saturday.

Cinderford Town U10s were playing nearby, and the sound of the crash saw parents and the coach rushing to help.

They comforted the man until parademics arrived.

A witness said he was in a lot of pain with suspected broken bones and they tried to keep him as calm as possible until the ambulance arrived to take him to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

The road was closed for several hours, causing delays.
