WITHIN six weeks of its launch, Forest Seniors Network, the new organisation established to be the voice of local pensioners, has recruited close to 250 members.
Set up to replace Citizens Say, Forest Senior Network will hold its inaugural meeting at Coleford Community Centre on Friday, March 6 at 2pm.
A management committee will be elected.
Guest speaker will be Mr Bill Hobman, chairman of the new Community Interest Company. He will explain its background and the role it is anticipated to play in the future of the Forest.
Membership is open to any resident of the Forest aged over 50. There is no charge.
