I WONDER whether any readers have had a similar experience as me with our parish council?
Earlier in the year I wrote to the parish council asking if we could get some dog waste bins in and around the Forest area. Many dog owners think that they don't have to pick up after their dogs, some because they can't be bothered, some because there are no bins.
I have a dog myself and during our walks see many nasty messes; not just in the woodland areas but on the pavements too.
Our parish council not only ignores the problem, they didn't even acknowledge my letter.
Schools are closed for summer holidays now so children are playing in the Forest. There are diseases which are quite serious caused by waste. Does the parish council (and some dog owners) need children to become ill before they do take notice?
Come on parish council, at least acknowledge letters, even if it's only to say "We received your letter but we don't care."
