POLICE are hunting burglars who broke into a takeaway restaurant overnight and stole the safe.

Forensic investigators were combing Picka Pizza in Cinderford High Street this morning (Thursday, September 14) after the break-in was discovered by the owners.

The offenders broke in through the rear of the shop and carted off the safe containing an unspecified sum of cash.

Anyone with information is asked to call Gloucestershire Police on 101 quoting incident 125 of 14/9.
