I AM writing to say how annoyed and upset I was at reading an article recently about two planning applications which councillors had put in.
In the last few years I have been flooded three times and I was deeply upset to read that Cllr Hale had offered up his land for building which was in a flood zone.
Has no one learnt any lessons?
When your home floods it is the most terrible experience. Nobody should have to go through it.
How come his application wasn’t thrown out immediately?
If I were to try and get permission to build in my back garden I wouldn’t get a look in.
This really upsets me – why should a man elected to represent us be treated differently?
Thankfully, we’ve just got rid of ‘Call Me Dave’ – who took this approach – we don’t want it here in the Forest too.
I will not be voting for Cllr Hale who clearly puts his own interest before anything or anyone else. Shame on him.
