PERHAPS someone from the Forest of Dean District Council's planning department could explain why they have put forward various reasons for the refusal of the proposed Tutshill development when they were unwilling to defend the Sedbury development on some of the same and equally applicable grounds.
It is also interesting to note that the Tutshill development might bring about the expenditure of £40,000 by the Welsh government on a pedestrian guard rail for the A48 bridge.
It seems strange that the development nearer to the bridge – where much was made of being able to walk to the town/station – did not warrant this.
