THIS year’s pre-Christmas production by Newnham Players is Oliver.

Based on the well-known story by Charles Dickens the musical follows the life of young Oliver and his eventual good fortune.

Along the way he is befriended by the Artful Dodger and absorbed into the gang of pickpockets run by the devious Fagin.

The musical was devised and written by Lionel Bart and contains many popular and easily recognisable songs.  There are opportunities for audience participation.

Directed by Dave Whiting with Aimee Lowe as Oliver, Jamie Monteith as Dodger and Alan Curtis as Fagin.

Performances start at Newnham Club at 7.30pm tonight (Wednesday) through to this Saturday (December 5).
