FOREST of Dean residents are being asked for information about a Jack Russell terrier which went on the run about 10 weeks ago.

Owner Virginia Timmins lost her much loved pet while out shopping in Chepstow.

"I tied Bobby outside a shop as I always do but when I came out he had gone," said Mrs Timmins.

But there was a twist to the story as the dog – obviously very frightened – ran into the Furniture Smart store and hid behind items of furniture.

Owner Susie Corker caught the dog and calmed it down.

"It was obviously lost and very distressed. There were customers in the store from the Forest of Dean and they offered to keep him. I informed the police of what had happened and left it at that," said Susie.

But the dog has since gone on the run again.

Because of an illness Mrs Timmins was unable to organise a search for the dog but now hopes Review readers can help in her quest.

"My daughter Dayle, who is 12, is missing Bobby as much as me. We are hoping someone may have taken him in and is caring for him, she said.
