FOREST police are urging vigilance after a pupil was approached by a car driver at Dene Magna School, Mitcheldean.

The 12-year-old boy was walking across a school car park between 6.40pm and 7.30pm on Monday July 23 when a grey 'dirty looking' hatchback style car pulled up nearby.

As the boy passed the driver asked if he wanted any chips. The boy refused and the car was driven away towards Mitcheldean. 

The man driving the car is described as white, 6ft 1in tall, in his 30s or 40s and with stubble.

"There is no evidence to suggest there was any malicious intent behind the man's approach but parents and children in the area are being urged to remain vigilant," say police.
