POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a spate of burglaries on Bonfire Night (Tuesday, November 5) when people across Wyedean were out enjoying firework displays.

In one of the raids around 8pm on Lydney Road in Bream, where burglars broke in and ransacked the premises, the householder returned and disturbed the culprits who ran off.

A Gloucestershire Police spokesperson said a second burglary was reported on St James Park in Lower Milkwall sometime between 4pm and 8pm.

The offenders are believed to have forced entry before leaving with a quantity of money and jewellery.

A third burglary took place on Forest Road in Lower Milkwall and is believed to have taken place at some point between the late afternoon and early evening.?The offenders are also believed to have forced entry before leaving with jewellery items.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting incidents 416, 421 or 459 of 5 November.
