POLICE are hunting three men after a woman said she was raped over the weekend.

A woman reported that she was raped by three men near the pedestrian steps from Sedbury to the A48 on the new Wye Bridge at Chepstow.

The walkway was closed for most of Sunday with an officer stationed at the bottom.

A Gloucestershire Police spokeswoman said: “A woman reported that she was raped by three men.

“It is believed to have happened on Saturday night or Sunday morning near the bridge in Tutshill/Sedbury.

“Officers are supporting the victim and conducting enquiries into the incident.”
