I NOTE the comments of Councillor Morgan on your front page, regarding recent criminal activity in Cinderford.  I interpret his views and advice as little more than the first step in encouraging vigilantes in the local community.

He may find it helpful to reflect upon the death of Bijan Ebrahimi in Bristol, in July. He was a wholly innocent man, killed by an ill-informed, spiteful  and vengeful community.

Morgan's 'advice ...  buy a Rottweiller', pays no heed  to the recent spate in the acquisition of dogs, made dangerous by owners who often have a tenuous  grasp of personal, let alone animal welfare.

There have also been a number of deaths and serious injuries caused  by such  dogs, kept in the most appalling conditions.

I regret that you find it fitting to give voice to Councillor Morgan's ill-judged opinions.
