THE pennies soon add up – as residents of a Lydney housing complex have shown.
A pot in the hallway of Goode Court for spare change has converted pennies into pounds for the Children’s Opportunity Centre in Coleford.
Residents Gwyn Saysom and Ray Adlam presented a cheque for £230 to Hayley Badman and Elaine Screen from the centre.
Goode Court’s manager Carole Cousins said: “Every year we fill a pot with loose change for charity – it started six years ago with a collection for Help for Heroes.”
The current collection at Goode Court is for the air ambulance.
