IN response to the letters concerning Mark Harper, some time ago I, along with others, wrote to Mark about the cross-border healthcare issues affecting those of us who live close to the Welsh border.

I received a prompt reply to that letter.  Mark also attended a meeting held in St Briavels and has followed up the issue in Parliament.

A couple of weeks ago, I had another letter from Mark outlining the progress thus far and his hopes for the resolution of the problem.

I appreciated this update and I am sure I  am not the only person to receive such a letter.

Our MPs have to deal with many issues and have to prioritise in order to gain resolution for as many as possible.

I thank Mark for following up the concerns of his constituents over the healthcare problem and am pleased that common-sense seems to be prevailing.

I am sorry the other readers did not feel that Mark was listening to their concerns but I do believe in giving credit where credit is due.
