I AM senior citizen and, as far as I remember, Britain has always welcomed refugees suffering from hardship violence and abuse in their mother country through no fault of their own.

It is so often other governments, politicians’ decisions, etc that have been made which have caused horrendous problems to these displaced people fleeing their homeland to find a safe haven.

Imagine if it happened here how we would feel.

As a rich nation we have enough resources to accomodate our own people and others in need.
