STUDENTS at a Forest school showed off their creativity from acting to catering, music and acting.

A week-long programme of events at Wyedean School in Sedbury ended with a ‘creativity festival’ which the local community was invited to attend.

Among the highlights of the week was a workshop led by Michelle Pentecost, one of the stars of the West End production of Wicked.

A very well-received production of Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers ran for three nights and a video of the show was played at the creativity festival.

The festival, which was the idea of photography teacher Layla Gunter, included displays of art, design and woodwork and there was music from Chepstow Community Big Band.

Visitors were also offered sweet treats and non-alcoholic punch made by students.

Headteacher Rob Ford: “The range of creativity displayed by pupils and staff is really inspiring and it was great to have parents and members of the community come into school to see it.”
